Sara and Charles. Or CJ. Or Gump. Whatever you call him, he’s one of the coolest guys we know. And his bride Sara is one of our favorites. Their wedding was held at the Bridgestone Firestone Centennial Wilderness area, and boy was it gorgeous. With strong rains hitting about the time we arrived, there was some worry in the bridal suite. But as hair and makeup finished up, so did the rain, and that sun popped out rearing to go for the big day! The soon-to-be Smiths were surrounded by their friends as they prepped for their vows, and we simply loved our day with them. Was it hot? Yes. Was it humid? Oh lord yes. Was it still perfect? Yep! Just look at all the thought and planning these two put into this day. All of the details were beyond beautiful and the sky is always amazing up on Bon Air Mountain.
Their ceremony was super sweet, with CJ’s grandpa praying over the couple before they sealed the deal with a kiss. These guys had so many friends and family with them, cheering them on, and dancing with them through the night. I don’t think I laughed so hard as I did when CJ took the dancefloor donning a massive blonde wig and hitting some strong Michael Jackson moves. It was a wonderful wedding day with amazing people. I hope that at least a fraction of their joy shows through in some of our favorite images we want to share with you all!
After a torrential downpour as we arrived, the clouds quickly dissipated and the sun was bound and determined to dry this place up for us.These emotions get me. On the left: Sara giving her dad a custom-embroidered tie. On the right, the JOY of putting on her dress! The guys requested the “sunglasses” shots. They rocked them, as Brandon shows off the surroundings too. This is trust right here. Brandon could have been so mean, but he held out for the sake of the timeline 🙂
The first look -he was SO excited!!! Brandon gets the coolest shots by being a creeper…Now that’s a serious cake smash…two of them. (she started it!)Sara and CJ, we are so honored to have had the pleasure of not only providing you with your wedding memories in photo form, but we are blessed to call you friends. From shots of balsamic vinegar, to loving shrimp and planning a trip to Mexico, we have loved every minute of this journey, and we are looking forward to spending more time with you 🙂
