You know from our engagement session post (here) just how much we love these two kiddos. Anessa and Luke may be young, but they are absolutely meant for each other and not only does everyone know it, most importantly THEY know it. They have been faithful to each other and their relationship throughout high school and now college. Since they have wonderful mentors, they each have learned about marriage in the best of ways and after being engaged for a year already, decided not to wait any longer for their June wedding. They were ready and things simply fell into place for the date to be moved up. No more waiting, these two were eager to begin their lives as one and they focused on only what mattered to them for their big day.
We also enjoyed that we were able to revisit many friends at this wedding that we had met from Luke’s brother’s wedding (here) a year and a half before. Many guests have us big hugs and the families made us feel like we were part of them.
Anessa started the day with a calm presence, while Luke and the fellas could be heard down the hall laughing as they played games. The First Baptist Church in Sparta was a peaceful setting for this winter wedding and was decorated with plenty of trees and lights. Even at their young ages, Anessa and Luke have been together so long it felt like this day had been in the works for ages, and their joy was contagious. They honored family members who had left too soon and they worshipped during their ceremony. Brandon and I left with powerful stories of love in how everyone came together for these two and how this bride and groom poured out their heart to a grandfather who recently lost the love of his life. Everything about this day was really centered with the Lord in mind and it was something I don’t think words can portray. Hopefully when you view these images you’ll be able to feel the spirit of the day.
