Alicia & Matthew – Wedding Part 2

So, now that you’ve read about and seen the images from the October wedding, it’s time for the rest of the story. If you’ve not yet read the last post, click here.   Alicia’s father, who courageously walked her down the aisle in October, wasn’t able to recover and sadly, he passed away before her originally scheduled wedding in June. Although he was called away in February, she will always have the images of him giving her away, holding her tight, and seeing her in her wedding dress because of that special fall wedding. Since that day was a smaller

Alicia & Matthew – Wedding Part 1

Since booking Alicia and Matthew’s wedding over a year ago, we’ve gotten to know this family so deeply. We have laughed with them, we have cried with them. And we have photographed them… at both of Alicia and Matthew’s weddings. Wait, what? Yes, you read that correctly. Two weddings. I know, you’re not sure what I mean. Go ahead and grab a tissue and some coffee – this story’s a doosie.  A long, beautiful one.   Rewind to spring of 2012. We get a call, we have a meeting with Alicia and her mom. We hear all about what should

Heather and Chris ~ Wedding Day

Heather and Chris began their wedding planning journey after he proposed while the two were vacationing in Italy. These two amazing people live in Manhattan, New York, and happened upon our photography site while searching for a photographer for their destination (to Tennessee) wedding. With family all over the country, they settled on the absolutely gorgeous Whitestone County Inn in Kingston, Tennessee. They had a beautifully elegant outdoor wedding planned, with a gazebo that overlooked the horse pastures, barns, and a stunning lake. However, as luck would have it, the weather had other plans. The morning of the wedding, the

Carrie & Cameron ~ Wedding Day

Carrie and Cameron are super fun to be around. When we first started talking, we instantly found connections and just clicked with them. Their wedding day forecast, like many of our May weddings this year, looked grim. Rain, clouds, and wind. But as we arrived and began shooting, umbrellas in hand, the clouds parted and the rain slowed. Just in time for their ceremony at the gorgeous Alpine Presbyterian Church, the sun was shining and the guests were arriving with smiles on their faces. A day mixed with laughter, love and excitement … and did I mention laughter? … their

AJ & Johnny ~ Wedding

AJ & Johnny’s wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect. It was a gorgeous fall day with pops of orange and yellow, and this sweet couple had long awaited their moment. AJ & Johnny have been together for years, and their patience made for a perfect wedding day. Friends and family started trickling in and the final touches were put onto the tables and lanterns in the trees. As AJ put her dress on and finished her makeup, the anticipation just built. We went out behind the chapel to a quiet area and allowed this gorgeous bride to see her

Megan & Ryan ~ Wedding Day

Megan and Ryan got married at Lakeside last fall. The morning started with freezing temperatures and the forecast of rain, but as we arrived, the sun decided to shine on this sweet couple, so out it came, and with it came the warmth. It became an absolutely beautiful day – even if it was freezing cold. Their ceremony was precious, complete with tears as well as laughter. Megan and Ryan have a strong foundation of faith that binds them together, and we are so honored to have witnessed their union. The night ended with some awesome dancing, and I think

2012 Highlight Video

2012 was full of wonderful couples, amazing stories, and truly special weddings. We can’t wait to show you all of these stories in our normal story-telling style. With bridal shows and client meetings, our slow season isn’t so slow, but we hope to show you the full weddings in the next few weeks.

Erin & Matt ~ Wedding

Erin and Matt’s wedding day was so so perfect. I know I say good things about every wedding, but this one was even more special for us since Erin is Brandon’s sister. The day started with Erin, her maid of honor and her mother getting hair and makeup done.  I love this portion of the day because there is so much anticipation and excitement in the room. Then we headed to the Tulip Grove Mansion at the Hermitage in Nashville to get ready for portraits before the ceremony. Beautiful location!  Erin and Matt opted for a first look and it

Justin & Beth ~ Wedding Day

Justin and Beth were the sweet couple we met in Chattanooga for some engagement photos a few months ago. Their wedding was held in Cookeville at the First Presbyterian Church and it was one of the most calm and sweet days we’ve seen. Justin was eager to see his bride and Beth was beaming with beauty and joy. Not only that, but their friends and family were so helpful to me and Brandon the whole day – from helping me hang the dress in a tree to bringing us waters during outdoor portraits – they were the best! Beth should win an

Andrea and Caleb ~ Newlyweds

Andrea and Caleb are one of the sweetest and most devoted couples you’ll meet. They were married in March on the day after the tornadoes and cold front swept through middle Tennessee. Hunkered in Del Monaco Winery waiting for the storm to pass during their rehearsal, I can only imagine what poor Andrea was thinking about how her wedding day might be. But the next day the sky, cool as it was, turned back to blue, and inside that beautiful room with candles all around them, these two said their vows and celebrated with friends. It was an absolutely beautiful
