{Dora & Don ~ Newlyweds}

Dora and Don were married last December in a private ceremony. So private, in fact, that I was the only witness! (Click here for photos from their wedding ceremony) Although they had set a date for a larger wedding and she had purchased her dress, they decided not to wait and so they went ahead with their vows. Lauren and Mark’s wedding day was one of the sweetest ever. This adorable bride and her mother had planned everything so beautifully, with all of the pretty pink details, and their church had such a cool character about it. The father of the bride should win some sort of award for his efforts on getting the wedding dress to hang from the high ceilings, but hey, if that’s what his daughter wanted, he was darn well going to make it happen. Megan and Clayton’s wedding last month was at the elegant Del Monaco Winery. It was a beautiful, HOT, sunny day and this couple was super excited about sharing their vows! We arrived as everyone was getting ready, and the anticipation in the place was awesome. {Kristen & Brian ~ Wedding Day}

This is one of the most fun couples, and oh-so perfect for each other! Kristen and Brian had an outdoor wedding at Lake Frances, where they work a gymnastics camp during the summers. Both bride and groom were so completely relaxed and content on their wedding day, and their attendants were SO much fun to be around. The ceremony by the lake was super sweet, especially when Kristen began bouncing up and down with excitement; and their reception was filled with fun and crazy dancing. Lauren and Landon’s wedding in Crab Orchard, TN was a beautiful one. The weather was perfect and this couple just melts your heart when you see the way they look at each other. Brandon and I had an absolute blast capturing their day, not to mention the crazy fun dance floor! It may be the liveliest yet! Here’s a sneak peek of their day. {Steven & Alicia ~ Wedding}

Steven and Alicia’s wedding day was absolutely beautiful. It was a hot summer day with beautiful weather and friends and family sharing in celebration of the love these two share. The wedding was at a family farm and Alicia and her girlfriends did such a magnificent job with all the little hand-crafted touches. From her brooch-bouquet to the hand-made paper pinwheels, it was adorable and sweet. Brandon and I were so glad we could be there to capture so many cute details and beautiful emotions. {Best of 2010 ~ Weddings and Couples}

Have I mentioned I love weddings? I am a sucker for not only the actual wedding but also for the love and hope that couples have as they journey toward the union of husband and wife. 2010 was a great year as I was introduced to several beautiful love stories and made lasting friendships with all of my couples. Here are my favorites photos to highlight the year…

{Dora & Don ~ Elopement}

Dora and Don got engaged last October and were planning a beautiful outside ceremony for next year. However, this fun-loving couple decided they simply couldn’t wait any longer…so they eloped! They wanted a very small, very quiet affair with no guests, so that they could just celebrate their new life together with a deeply meaningful ceremony. I loved the words that were spoken and the look they both had in their eyes for each other. Absolutely wonderful! So here are a few images from Dora and Don’s beautifully emotional ceremony. And yes…I cried too…

{Katie ~ Bridals}

Although I did these bridal portraits way back in the beginning of September, things got so busy this fall that I never really blogged them. Katie was one of the most carefree and brave brides I have ever worked with. She trusted my every move, and I’m so thankful for it. As we were out tromping through the field, she said to me (very nonchalantly, I might add) “By the way, I’m terrified of snakes.” Snakes aren’t something I normally think much of, but since we were wading through some thick brush, I had her follow in my footsteps…and made

J and Parisa were married in Nashville on November 6. It was a gorgeous crisp fall day with lots of love in the air. This bride could not have been more beautiful and this groom could not have been more fun and relaxed! I loved every minute of it. They wrote their own vows and I have to say they were the most sincere and honest I’ve heard in a long time. To top things off, their reception was so fun, complete with 80’s band and dancing!
