When we get inquiries from a family member of one of our past brides, it’s such an honor. When that inquiry is from another photographer who’s now getting married and wants US to photograph her wedding, it’s even more exciting. Not going to lie, it’s a little nerve-wracking to shoot another photographer’s photos, but from the first time we sat down with Whitney and Josh, we instantly felt so comfortable and the nerves were replaced with excitement for the opportunity to get to know these two more AND capture some beautiful images for them along the way. We trusted that Whitney would find us a great spot for our engagement session, and boy did she! Josh’s family’s property literally could not have been more perfect. Not only is this place special to them, it has everything a photographer could dream of: perfect light, grand views, lovely flowers (weeds, but whatever, they’re flowers to me), and DRAFT HORSES!! When we planned the session, we were scheming on how to get these gorgeous creatures in some shots…check out below: mission accomplished! We had a wonderful time with Josh and Whitney and we are over the moon excited about these photos. This wedding AND this marriage will be a great one – we are sure of it!
On our way to the top of the mountain for the end of the session, we spotted the horses in THE perfect spot, and they just let us come right on over and chill with them for a bit.
This view??? Perfect!!
