This post may be a long one. We spent an entire day with this couple on the most beautiful day of their lives. Their families and friends were so incredible, and the whole day was absolutely packed with emotion. So much laughter, so many tears, and at the end of the day, a husband and wife were joined together in a beautiful godly union that I have no doubt will last their whole lives.
Grant and Kali’s wedding day started out at her parents house in Hendersonville. It’s where she grew up, and it’s also where Grant proposed. In almost the very spot where she said “yes” to being his wife last Christmas, this bride walked up to her groom, shared a prayer with him, and he saw her for the first time in her gorgeous wedding dress.
Their ceremony was at the Historic Rock Castle by the lake, and they had a day of perfect weather and just the right amount of sunshine and blue skies. They had friends and family come in from all over the country, and some beyond that. As they said their vows under the pergola Kali’s uncle built (and had flown in piece by piece), they shared sentiments about the qualities of a good husband and wife, the love of God that drives them, and they shared special thank-yous with their parents. The sun shown down and Kali beamed with joy as the moment she had been waiting for was finally here.
At the reception, I think I saw nearly every single guest on the dance floor at least once. Everyone was there to celebrate this couple and their commitment to each other, and they danced the night away! Kali and Grant said their goodbyes and exited through sparklers to their getaway “car”, which was actually a boat. I tell you, this wedding, this couple, this day, could not have been more perfect.
