Chris and Heather – Engaged

Earlier this year, Brandon and I had an opportunity that got us super excited. We follow photography blogs and chat with photographers from all over the country, and deep down (well, not too deep really), I’ve always thought it would be so amazing to do a session in New York City. Well, as luck would have it, we got a call from Chris and Heather – who just happen to live in NYC. They called to see about us doing photography at their wedding in Tennessee. Kaysee & Josh

We came to know Kaysee several years ago when we were neighbors. She expressed an interest in photography and we began chatting about it every time we’d see each other. She was always so complimentary – she followed the blog and always left sweet comments on new photos. When she got engaged, we were so happy for her – Josh seemed like a great guy and we would happily chat about their plans and such. Although we weren’t able to shoot their wedding, we did have something in common – our wedding date! They got married on our 5-year anniversary.

Kali & Grant ~ Engaged

We met Kali & Grant at Kali’s parents’ home in Hendersonville for their engagement session. This couple lives and works out of state, so most of our communication had been done via skype and email, and although we hadn’t met them in person until the day of the session, we already knew we loved them. Grant and Kali are planning their wedding at Rock Castle in September, and after spending such a fun day with them shooting engagement photos, we can’t wait to hang out with them more on the wedding day. Emily & Brad ~ Engaged

We met Emily and Brad at a wedding we photographed last year. Emily was a super fun bridesmaid. Emily and I were both gymnasts at the University of Kentucky, and although she didn’t come on the team until I was gone, I still felt like I knew her, and we had so much fun photographing her and her crew at last year’s wedding, so I was super excited when she asked us to be her photographers! Emily has a great laugh and super gorgeous blue eyes. She is super fun to be around, which magnifies when she’s with her man.

Becca & Will ~ Engaged

We met Becca at a bridal show earlier this year, and from the moment we talked to her and her mom and sister, we fell in love with their excitement and wedding planning mo-jo. Becca was our very first bride to book for 2013, and we simply can’t wait for their big day. Becca and Will got engaged in Italy last year… I know, swoon… and while they’re both devoted to school and work, they still make time for each other and the important things in life. When we were planning our engagement session, we became limited in our dates.

Katherine & Jeremy ~ Engaged

Katherine and Jeremy recently got engaged and gave us a shout about wedding photography. Jeremy is quite a photography hobbyist himself, so his questions and discussion about photography got us excited. They are planning a sweet and intimate wedding in a historic village in Monteagle, TN, and it sounds so beautiful. For their engagement session, we met up with them in Nashville, and we started at the spot where they met, a local coffee shop. There’s so much I could say to introduce Leah and Bo to you. From the history in gymnastics Leah and I have, to her amazing mother whom I adore, to the moment I saw pictures of the beautiful mountaintop engagement posted to Facebook.
